Use the actual formula from your agreement when possible. This model uses percentage-of-balance with a dollar floor.
A scenario you choose, not an expected outcome.

Understand the comparison

The settlement line assumes every included creditor accepts the selected percentage and every agreement is fully paid. It does not model ongoing balance growth, lawsuits, tax, credit damage or a creditor refusing to settle. The funding period is your savings timetable, not a prediction of creditor acceptance.

Read the loan and card formulas

The consolidation line finances the entered fees, assumes a fixed APR and equal monthly payments, and excludes new borrowing. The minimum-payment line recalculates a percentage of balance plus monthly interest with the stated dollar floor. Many cards instead use interest plus a percentage of principal; use your actual statement and agreement before relying on a payoff projection.

Compare affordability as well as price

A lower modeled total does not establish suitability. Check that payments fit after essentials and a buffer. Ask a nonprofit counselor about repayment, and consider legal advice when the debt or a deadline is disputed.
